Fielding Administrative Offices to close for Winter Holiday

Fielding Graduate University Administrative Offices will close for the Winter Holiday on December 22, 2010. The offices reopen on Monday, January 3, 2011.

School of Psychology Winter Session starts Monday, January 17, 2011

Registration for Winter Session is closed. We hope those of you attending have a wonderful time in Santa Barbara. We have a great week for you filled with seminars, workshops and special events.

We begin each day (Monday thru Friday) with anchor groups followed by a community meeting. Then we move into a range of academic, clinical and research seminars, PALs training events, conversation hours, Final Oral Reviews, alumni presentations, and community events.

Here are some highlights of the special events for the week:

  • Join your fellow students, alumni and faculty at the Welcome Reception at 7p.m. on Monday.
  • Tuesday evening will spotlight a guest presentation by Dr. Jeffery C. Goldfarb who will be speaking on media and the politics of small things at 7:30p.m.. 
  • Wednesday's activities include a diversity scholar presentation at 7:30p.m. followed by the Magic Feet Fundraising Auction at 9p.m..
  • On Thursday evening there will be a 5p.m. Fielding Alumni Network (FAN) Mingle & Meet gathering. 
  • At Friday's Community Meeting we welcome the graduating students into the PSY Alumni community. All students, faculty, alumni and families are welcome.
  • Make sure to attend the presentation on Friday evening at 7:30p.m. where Dr. Sanford Drob will speak about The Red Book on God, Science, Madness, and Evil.

School of HOD Winter Session starts Monday, January 10, 2011

Registration for the Winter Session is closed. For those of you attending, we hope you have a wonderful time in Santa Barbara. We have a great week for you filled with seminars, workshops, and special events.

Here are some highlights of the special events for the week:

  • Welcome Reception at 7 p.m. on Monday
  • "Our Sisters Place" or "Our Brother's Place" beginning at 7p.m. on Tuesday evening.
  • Thursday and Friday will include a special event, "The Transformative Power of Dialogue: Festschrift for Barnett Pearce." In addition to our Fielding faculty, confirmed participants include Stan Deetz, Sheila McNamee, John Lannamann, and Stephen Littlejohn.
  • Thursday evening will spotlight a guest presentation at 7:30 p.m. by Dr. Linda L. Putnam on Framing and Dialogic Communication: Building on Barnett Pearce's Legacy.
  • On Friday evening there will be a 5p.m. Fielding Alumni Network (FAN) gathering.
  • At Saturday's community meeting we welcome the graduating students into the HOD alumni community. All students, faculty, alumni and families are welcome.
